It's been a really awful day. Mostly because that little jerk of a kid in her homeroom started it off by writing "MS. DAY EATS HER OWN FARTS" in giant letters on the whiteboard, but Jess has kind of been dragging all week, it seems. But Friday means she has the whole weekend before she has to deal with those little monsters again.
No wait, angels. Little angels.
Jess thinks that maybe Schmidt and Nick could use a night of hanging out just as much as she can, and that maybe they can do dinner. If she and Nick plan it right, maybe they can even trick Schmidt into paying for the whole thing. Only after Jess gets back to Dimera and goes to knock on Nick's door, she notices that it's already open.
"Nick?" she asks walking in through the open door, but she almost runs into a guy wearing what looks almost like a hazmat suit. At first Jess assumes it's some kind of joke about how dirty Nick's apartment is like, all the time, but that thought fades away pretty quickly.
"You probably shouldn't be in here," the man says.
"Where's Nick?" Jess asks, and now she's getting a little worried. All of Nick's stuff is gone, and the apartment looks kind of how hers did right when she first moved in. "Where's the guy who lives here?"
"He moved out. The landlord called us in here to clean," he answers, and Jess feels a little sick in the pit of her stomach. Was it something she did? Was it something Schmidt did?
Schmidt.
She dashes out of the apartment to Schmidt's, and bangs on the door.
"Schmidt! SCHMIDT!"
