[Dated Mid-May] Dinner Party

While Jess never really got to do this all that often in the loft, there's a part of her that's really missed having get-togethers like this. Usually, it's just a bottle of cheap wine and having Cece or Sadie over, so it's not really a big deal if things are a little weird, or if she has to secretly cut off the green part of a block of cheese before she serves it.

But she really wants to make an effort to make friends in Darrow. It's just been her and Nick for a while now and though she knows she has to be driving him crazy. So she's invited Hannah and Jacob over-- and Nick too, because she's really concerned that he's probably living on raw ramen noodles or something-- and cooked a big pot of fettuccine. It might taste a little weird, but it's nothing that she thinks anyone will notice. Especially not without Schmidt around.

God, she's even starting to miss Schmidt.

It takes the better part of the afternoon, but everything's finally set up, and really, the only question now is whether or not she should have a glass of wine while she's waiting for everybody to show up.

She's totally going to have a glass of wine.
